Smoky Mountain American Society for Training and Development

Special Events: Training Directors Forum

Our Smoky Mountain ASTD chapter is presenting one huge event this year, and we hope you can join us for lunch and what promises to be a very interesting and informative panel discussion. Please note: There is a different fee for this event since it required more meeting space and accommodations. Take a look at the below:

  • Description: Plan to spend 2-2.5 hours at a very unique expert panel forum: training directors from the largest corporations in our region come together to discuss how training is aligned with business strategy to produce excellent returns on investment. Though organizations spend an average of 30 to 60 percent of their revenue on human capital, many still struggle with maximizing the return on their people assets. Executed properly, a strategic human capital management (HCM) system can lead to increases in profitability, employee morale, customer retention and satisfaction, and ultimately, a more positive market perception. How does training and development factor into this equation for the companies in our region with thousands in their workforce? Come and learn from those in the trenches!
  • Panel of speakers will represent major companies throughout our region who take workforce learning and performance very seriously
  • Time: 11:30am - 2:30pm
  • Date: October 15, 2008
  • Cost: $16 - Members; $20 - Non-Members
  • Location: TBA
